There are no words for the horror that took place in Port Said, Egypt last week. A soccer match became a killing field, with at least seventy-four spectators dead, and as many as 1,000 injured. The visiting Al-Ahly team lost to Al-Masri, and what followed will stain the sport forever.
With all due respect to the rest of The News-Herald coverage area hockey contingent, there's no question a showdown between University and Lake Catholic is basically our area's Super Bowl in the sport. It's two of our top three N-H squads — along with Gilmour — and is of course our representation in Ohio's toughest league, the Red North.
